Sexual Assault Services Highly trained and dedicated volunteers form a hour crisis response team to respond whenever a sexual assault is presented to the local rape trauma center. There is also non-resident counseling for those victims who do not require shelter, but need a counselor for themselves or their children. Counseling Services Victims can receive individual and group counseling with experienced staff sensitive to the needs of abused and formerly abused persons. If you have been sexually assaulted: Children of victims are also welcome. Our staff is directed towards breaking the cycle of violence and attempting to prevent future violence. The program offers group counseling for batterers utilizing a psycho-educational format. The curriculum in this program examines the root causes of domestic and sexual violence, not only on the individual level, but on the level of the family, community, and society as well. Each family has the opportunity and time to rediscover life without violence, time to consider other options, and to participate in a wide variety of services that lead to a future without fear and abuse.
